The Environmental Health Network of California
Files Petition With the FDA

[May 11, 2007]
To whom it may concern,

TODAY IS 99P-1340's 8th Anniversary! I've only been severely and completely disabled by fragrances for 3 years. Many of these people have been disabled for more than 20 years. Do you realize the horribleŬexistence that this drives us too? Even a 3rd hand whiff of fragrance gives me heart attacks, kidney failure, liver damage, hemorrhage, loss of cognative ability and loss of muscle control, just to name a few. Are you aware that an estimated 40% of Americans are adversely effected by consumer product toxins? That's 140 million Americans! How can you expect our economy to recover and for Social Security to have even a remote chance of working if that many people are taken off the payroll due to disability? Come on people! get on board!! The crisis is coming and you aren't paying attention! We need to head this off now. The only way is to mandate that All Consumer Products are Non Toxic!!!! That means, no toxins, no VOCs!

Are you aware that 15% of the population are severely effected by consumer product toxins? That's 40 Million Americans! The ADA says Toxic Injury: MCS is the fastest growing segment of the disabled population. Don't delay. You personally can't afford it. Not you, your loved ones, or this country.

Sincerely,

Jennifer L. McKinnis
Oregon State Representative for
World Wide Toxic Injury Awareness & Education
